Trekking 2 : Kilimanjaro Machame Route
Day 1 - Arusha – Moshi
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met for the transfer to Moshi arriving late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 2 - Stage 1 Machame Hut (3000m)
Drive to Machame Village. The climb begins at the end of the tarmac road, reaching the Machame Gate and walking for about 6 hours gradually ascending through the forested hills onwards to Machame Hut (3000m). Dinner and overnight.
Day 3 - Stage 2 From Machame Hut to Shira Hut (3.840m).
Early in the morning, you will cross a valley and stream before ascending a steep ridge. The path then drops into a river gorge before you climb more gently onto the moorland of the Shira plateau to reach Shira Hut (3,840m). Total climbing time is about 6hrs. Dinner and overnight. Enjoy view of the Shira Peak (3.962m).
Day 4 - Stage 3 From Shira Hut to Barranco Hut (3.950m)
The path continues directly up the ridge towards Kibo, then turns right and descends into Barranco gorge. Climb to Barranco Hut at 3950m shortly after. Total climbing time is about 6 hrs. Dinner and overnight.
Day 5 - Stage 4 From Barranco Hut to Barafu Hut (4.600m)
Crossing the Barranco Valley, you climb the Barranco wall, then follow the Kibo South Circuit. You will then turn left and climb up a ridge for about 2 hrs to Barafu Hut at 4,600m. Dinner and overnight.
Day 6 - Stage 5 Ascend the Uhuru Peak (5.895m) and descent to Mweka Hut (3.100m)
Very early start for the summit first to Stella Point and then Uhuru Peak at 5895m. After sunrise, descend down to Mweka Hut, which takes about 6 hrs. Dinner and overnight.
Day 7 - Stage 6 From Mweka Hut to Mweka Gate
This is the last day of your climb. You will descend to Mweka Gate where you will be met and transferred to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
Day 8- Arusha
After breakfast, return to Arusha for the transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Extra day in the mountain: 150 USD
The tariff includes:
- Arrival and departure transfers from Airport Kilimanjaro.

- Park entry fees.
- Rescue fees, Hut fees
The tariff excludes:
- International flights tickets.
- Visas
- Sleeping bags and gears
- Personal Insurance
- All items of personal in nature. E.g. drinks, laundry, cigarettes etc
- Changes or deviation from the itinerary.
- Flying doctors coverage/fees
- Tips and gratuities to safari guides, porters and hotel staff
Guidelines:
-Our guides are permanent and experienced over 10 years
-Our cooks are experienced in mountain climbing and can cook local and
international dishes.
-First aid kits are provided by our guides. We recommend that you bring your
own medical kit for the most basic needs
-We provide brand new Mountain Hardwear Tents of proven quality specifically
designed for mountain use with plenty of personal space, an ample luggage
storage area, and a separate external flysheet.
-We provide camping chairs - tables- camping lamps and dining tent (mess
tent)
-We advise clients to bring their own mountain gear although we have our own
gear for rent.
