Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari
3 Days 2 Nights

Queen Elizabeth National Park has been designated a Biosphere Reserve for humanity under UNESCO auspice is located on the western arm of the Great Rift Valley, and boosts of  a remarkable variety of ecosystems, from semi-deciduous tropical forest to green meadows savannah and swamps.

It is home to the famous tree climbing lions as well as the Uganda kob, antelope, elephant, baboons, hippos, buffalo,  chimps, leopards and many other small animals. Over 500 species of birds have been recorded, making the park a magnet for bird watchers. The bird species includes the black bee- eater, 11 types of king fisher, and several species of falcons, eagles and the raptors. In the crater lakes to the north, flocks of flamingoes can be found. A favorite way to view the game and birds is by launch trip on the Kazinga Channel that connects Lakes George and Edward.

DAY 1
Leave Kampala heading Southwest via Masaka and Mbarara. Stop at the Equator, a famous spot for photography. For the rest of journey, enjoy the Acacia woodland, long horned ankole cattle and Ishaka tea plantations .Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. Go for an evening game drive and return for dinner and overnight  a Mweya Safari lodge (C) Simba safari camp (B)

DAY 2: Game drive and launch trip on Kazinga Channel

 Enjoy the sunrise by taking an early morning game drive along Kasenyi track, Queen’s mile and expect to see Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions, Kobs, Waterbuck, and if you are lucky the shy Leopard and Spotted Hyena. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relax at the swimming pool site. Afternoon, go for a spectacular boat cruise on Kazinga Channel for amazing bird life and a variety of wild animals. Evening sight seeing around the volcanic crater area and Baboon cliff is amazing! Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge(C) or Simba Safari camp (B).FB

DAY 3:
Return to Kampala.

Optional Extension:
a) Take a game drive to Ishasha sector in search for the tree climbing lions and spend the night at Savannah Hotel

b) Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge.
