Extension 2: Mountain Gorilla tracking
Day 10: Queen Elizabeth National Park
Arrival at Mweya in Queen Elizabeth National Park for the boat cruise along Kazinga Channel. It is incredible the concentration of water birds, hippos, crocodiles along the shores. Lunch at Mweya safari Lodge. In the afternoon game drive in the northern sector of the park and expect to see Elephants, Lions, Kobs, Spotted Hyenas and the Leopard. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 11: Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura
Early morning depart for the chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge within the park on the ridge of the Albertine Rift Valley. Proceed to Kisoro to reach the place of the gorilla tracking. Dinner and overnight at Kisoro Tourist Hotel.
Day 12: The magic encounter with mountains gorillas
After an early breakfast and briefing from the guides, set off for the gorilla tracking in the forest sanctuary of Virunga National Park. The activity starts at 8.00am. You need to carry packed lunch, drinking water, rain jacket and jungle boots while the rangers will provide you with a walking stick. The time taken to find the gorillas varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. An encounter with an earth shaking 350 pound silver back or a baby gorilla is very exciting and never forgotten! Dinner and overnight at Kisoro Tourist Hotel or Arcadia Cottages.
Day 13: Back to Kampala
Return to Kampala. Stop over at the Equator. Dinner and overnight at Ivys Hotel or Africana Hotel. Or reserved to the transfer to Entebbe International Airport for evening flights.
Day 14
Reserved to departure.
