Game Viewing

Tanzania hosts 13 national parks and 16 wildlife reserves plus Ngorongoro Conservation area. The most common area for tourists is the Northern Circuit, with Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Tarangire, Arusha, Kilimanjaro and Ngorongoro.

Trekking

The main trekking destinations in Tanzania are Mt. Kilimanjaro, Mt. Meru and the Crater Highlands. Mt. Kilimanjaro is the highest peak in Africa with 5.896m. and can be climbed without particular alpine equipment or experience. The most popular route to the peak is the Marangu route and takes on the average 5 or 6 days return. The Crater Highlands consist of a range of inactive volcanoes along the eastern edge of the Ngorongoro Area. The peaks include Oldeani, Lemagurut, Olmoti, Loolmalasin, Empakaai.

Boat Cruise

There are several opportunities for boat cruise in Tanzania. Within the national Parks the most rewarding is the Lake Manyara boat cruise. Moreover, boat trips are arranged on Lake Victoria and to reach the marines national parks and reserves. The Tanzanian coast and Zanzibar offer a great range of opportunities for boat cruise and hiring boats.

Zanzibar

The Spice island of Zanzibar lies off the coast of Tanzania in the Indian Ocean. It is famous for once being the commercial centre of East Africa and the last place to abolish the slave trade. Today it combines ancient Islamic ruins, noble Arabic houses with miles of white sandy palm fringed beaches and coves. The ocean offers warm clear blue waters, islands and excellent reefs for snorkelling and diving, fantastic deep sea fishing, water sports and of course delicious fresh fish. And if you thought that wasn't enough, visiting the Spice plantations (cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, cardamom and others) or haggling for carvings in the Central Market is great fun too.
